Benefits of Infrared Saunas

Benefits of Infrared Saunas

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer and high blood pressure in the fall of 2017, the biofeedback practitioner that I was treating with told me I would really benefit from the use of an infrared sauna.  The same biofeedback practitioner, who was also treating my husband, Jon, suggested that he be tested for Lyme disease and arthritis because of his achy muscles and joints, but she also recommended he try an infrared sauna.

As we were doing our research, we found out that regular use of an infrared sauna removes toxins from the body, helps with circulation, stress, inflammation, joint and muscle pain, and – oh, yeah! — burns calories at the same time!  We thought it was worth a try, and we were curious to see if it could offer us any relief from our ailments.

On my own personal cancer journey, the sauna helped me get through my radiation treatment. After each radiation session, I would sit in the sauna while it removed the toxins from my body.  It also helped me with my high blood pressure.  From using the sauna, my blood pressure went back to normal, and I was able to completely stop taking medication for it.  It helped me with my stress too.  For me, it became what I called “my mediation box,” because the 45 minutes I spent in the sauna allowed me to shut out the world and take that time to meditate.  I also used to suffer from Raynaud’s disease, but since using the sauna, I have not had one reoccurrence.  Jon has experienced tremendous relief from his achy muscles and joints.

Your health and wellbeing are our number one concern at Breathe Salt & Sauna.  That is why we have done extensive research to find the best saunas on the market. Infrared saunas use infrared panels — instead of conventional heat — to penetrate human tissues, heating up your body before heating the air.

We use only Clearlight Infrared Saunas® at Breathe Salt & Sauna.  Not only are they endorsed by many doctors, but they are designed by Dr. Raleigh Duncan.  They cancel out bothEMF & ELF.  Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) are energy waves with frequencies below 300 hertz or cycles per second.  Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) are the electronic fields with frequencies from 3 to 30 hertz.  Our Clearlight Infrared Saunas® have the lowest and safest EMF & ELF levels of any infrared sauna on the market.

Our Clearlight Infrared Saunas®have Near-infrared, Mid-infrared and Far-infrared.

What does that mean?

Near-infrared is the shortest wavelength and is absorbed just below the surface of the skin, creating a sweat that promotes healing and revitalization.

Mid-infrared is a longer wavelength that penetrates deeper into the body’s soft tissue, increasing circulation and releasing oxygen to injured areas.

Far-infrared is the longest wavelength.  It penetrates the fat cells, causing vasodilation where the cells vibrate to expel toxins, resulting in the most significant levels of detoxification. They also stimulate your metabolism to aid in weight loss.
